NCKU’s GLORIA 2.0 SOUTH showcases results at BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition 2021

National Cheng Kung University’s (NCKU) GLORIA 2.0 SOUTH platform brings on board 12 allied schools, five teaching and research hospitals, their R&D teams and start-up companies, and selects 22 biotech products and technologies to be exhibited at Bio Asia Taiwan 2021 from Nov 4 through 7. Its booth attracted many visitors on the first day of the event, hoping to successfully link international capital, business cooperation and product promotion to North American and international markets in the future.


9 Schools Are Linked Together on the “GLORIA 2.0 SOUTH Platform” of National Cheng Kung University with the Focus on the Announcement of Green Energy and Circular Economy Technologies

 In response to the threats caused by global climate change, the development of “green energy” and “circular economy” is an important task that cannot be delayed. The “GLORIA 2.0 SOUTH Platform” led by National Cheng Kung University held the “Green Energy and Circular Economy Technology Matchmaking Workshop” at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in the afternoon of the 10th day of this month. By jointly promoting the research capabilities and the faculty R&D skills of the nine partner schools, it is hoped that they may facilitate the linkage between universities and industry to help the industry to meet the global target of net-zero emissions and to strengthen their international competitiveness.


Intelligent Manufacturing can realize “Zero Defects,” says Prof. Fan-Tien Cheng, the authority on Intelligent Manufacturing

 A seminar on intelligent manufacturing organized by National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and the Academia-Industry Consortium for Southern Taiwan Science Park (AIC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology guidance took place on the 15th of July, 2021. In response to the COVID-19 level 3 alert, the seminar was held online and attended by over 300 participants, features Professor Fan-Tien Cheng, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center of NCKU, who is known as the "Father of Semiconductor Automation," as the keynote speaker. He indicated that the primary goal of intelligent manufacturing is to realize "Zero-Defect Manufacturing," which is the vision of "Industry 4.1."
