NCKU Builds the World’s Best Quarantine Units for Recovery, Emergency, and Ecology for Prolonged War

“QurE, NCKU Can Help!” National Cheng Kung University Hospital’s construction team is on the way to join the national team! On the 28th, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) unveiled the Taiwan version of its self-developed “Quarantine Units for Recovery, Emergency, and Ecology (QurE)” in 1:1 physical size to the world. 

The 3rd “Long-Teng-Wei-Xiao IOB Entrepreneurship Competition”—The NCKU Team Takes the Biggest Prize.

With the approach of the aging society, the demand for medical and long-term care for the elderly has increased. The Department of Industrial Design of NCKU, Department of Biomedical Engineering of NCKU and Department of Medical Medicine and Rehabilitation of NCKUH teamed up to develop the “Smart Health Promotion Service System” with the goals of being intelligent, game-based, and customizable to provide a variety of intensive rehabilitation services that allow users to perform effective and fun remote rehabilitation at home, and won the silver prize (the biggest prize for the year) of the 3^rd “Long-Teng-Wei-Xiao IOB Entrepreneurship Competition”, and received NT$1 million in venture funds.

The Maker Factory of National Cheng Kung University created the "Pressure-relieving Ear Guard" for face masks and called on all "makers" in Taiwan to support medical care.

Since March of this year, the NCKU Maker Factory has distributed 1500 pieces of pressure-relieving ear guards to nearly 40 hospitals in Taiwan to relieve the ear discomfort caused by the pressure on health care workers who wear masks for a long time. The NCKU Maker Factory is able to produce 150 pieces of pressure-relieving ear guards per day, and the 3D printing source code is available for free on the official website of the NCKU Maker Factory, calling on everyone to join in the 3D printing and help health care workers to tide over the difficult time.

Passing on the Racing Dream—The 2020 NCKU Formula Race Car Launch

“Vroom…Vroom Vroom…” In addition to being busy with sport teams, book clubs, part-time jobs, school clubs, and struggling for credits, college students have the dream to race their own race cars on the world stage. The NCKU Formula Racing Team held a race car launch in the afternoon of July 28, displaying a streamlined blue and black second-generation race car - CK02, and introducing its design concept and features, attracting crowds to see the car's stunning style. Taiwan University, Tsinghua University, Taipei University of Technology, and other College Formula Racing Teams also attended the event to listen to the introduction and congratulate and support the team.
